Benefits and Challenges of Cloud-Based Systems: Case Studies from Polish Organizations

Abstract


Using cloud computing with web technology affects the scalability, reliability and availability of information and data systems, often reducing the cost of organization. The use and transfer to the cloud of IT systems, including the ERP, can be a source of many problems and difficulties. The aim of the article is, apart from theoretical considerations, an indication of how Polish companies perceive the advantages and barriers of implementation cloud based ERP. The article presents two case studies from Polish companies.
