Stawanie się miejskim rowerzystą. Biografie mobilności dojeżdżających do pracy rowerem

Streszczenie w języku polskim


W artykule przedstawione są wyniki częściowo ustrukturyzowanych wywiadów z ośmioma osobami, których głównym lub znaczącym środkiem transportu w mieście jest rower. Celem analizy jest opisanie trajektorii stawania się rowerzystą miejskim. Podczas wywiadu wyłoniły się trzy etapy korzystania z rowerów: dzieciństwa, nauki w szkole średniej oraz studiów i pracy zawodowej. Etapy te były nieco wyraźniej oddzielone przez rozmówców, którzy byli w stanie również wyodrębnić okresy jeżdżenia i niejeżdżenia na rowerze. Początek nowego etapu może stanowić równocześnie jeden z kluczowych momentów, w którym uczestnicy badania mogą zrezygnować z jazdy rowerem (szczególnie rozpoczęcie nauki w szkole średniej) lub podjęcie na nowo tej aktywności (np. wejście dzieci w okres większej samodzielności). Ponadto rozpoczęcie jazdy rowerem w celach transportowych może być łatwiejsze do „pomyślenia” przez osoby przyzwyczajone do aktywności fizycznej, a szczególnie dla osób jeżdżących rowerem w celach rekreacyjnych lub sportowych. Miejski system wypożyczania rowerów może stanowić znaczący czynnik inicjujący podjęcie praktyki jazdy rowerem dla osób, które rowerów nie posiadały i/lub od wielu lat z nich nie korzystały.
