Peaceful Methods of Resolving International Conflicts
Abstract
The nature of contemporary conflicts and disputes is becoming increasingly complex and their consequences increasingly, if not always, extend beyond the borders of one country. At the same time, international institutions and organisations established to resolve international disputes peacefully are not always able to act effectively. At the same time, each conflict and its context are unique due to its history, background factors, and dynamics. The aim of this article is to examine and analyse the effectiveness of peaceful methods of resolving international conflicts and disputes, with particular emphasis on the challenges associated with their implementation in the context of today’s tense international situation.
