Prof. I. Hoffman is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, Department of Administrative Law, ELTE Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest) in Hungary. He is the author of around 320 publications, mainly in English and Hungarian, as well as individual articles in Polish, German and French. He received the title of professor in 2019. He was habilitated in the discipline of law in 2014. He received the degree of Doctor of Laws (PhD) in 2008. Prof. Hoffman worked as an expert at the Supreme Court of Hungary in the Department of Administrative Law and Labour Law from 2015 to 2016, then at the Office of the Prime Minister as a legal advisor and general counsel (2008–2010). From 2006 to 2008 he was a legal advisor at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. From 2004 to 2006 he worked in the Ministry for Youth, Family and Social Affairs and Equality. In 2004 he became Legal Adviser to the Secretary to the Minister for Equality.
