Preparation of Juveniles of the Youth Educational Center in Jaworek for Activity on the Labour Market

Abstract

Human work and its determinants are an important element of the socialization process of young person. It prepares for effective participation in social life. Being a conscious and purposeful activity, it develops professional skills and shapes personality of young people as a fully mature and independent. Educational values of work are particularly important in working with socially maladjusted youth. Being one of the methods included in the group of culture, technics allow for the development of the pupils’ personality and also equips them with professional competencies, necessary for re-integration into the social the environment from which they were excluded. In the monographic study of a youth an educational centre, work is an important element of the socialisation process which is based on education, development of professional, practical and theoretical competencies, as well as behavioural stimulation of the pupil to undertake activities related to the provision of work. The economy system supplements the undertaken activities and additionally stimulates the juveniles to be active and to work on themselves.
