Marek Kulik Prof. Dr. Habil. of law, specialist in criminal law. Since 1 October 1999, employed at the Department of Comparative Criminal Law and then at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin). He deals with substantive criminal law, comparative criminal law, law of infractions and criminal procedure. In 2004 he defended the doctoral thesis titled Przestępstwo i wykroczenie zniszczenia, uszkodzenia lub uczynienia niezdatną do użytku cudzej rzeczy (The Crime and Infraction of Destroying, Damaging or Rendering Someone Else’s Property Unusable). In 2015 he was awarded the degree of habilitated doctor based on the dissertation titled Przedawnienie karalności i przedawnienie wykonania kary w polskim prawie karnym (Statute of Limitations for Prosecution and Penalty Execution in Polish Criminal Law; Warszawa 2014). In 2022 awarded the full professor title. In 2023 awarded the “Przegląd Sądowy” Award for book most useful in judicial practice issued in 2022 – Przestępstwa współukarane w polskim prawie karnym (Jointly Punished Offences in Polish Criminal Law). He is the author and co-author of over 190 scientific publications.
