Galina Kabakova has her PhD in Social Anthropology (EHESS, Paris) and in Slavic Languages (Institut for Slavic Studies, Moscow). She is Associated Professor in the Slavic Department at the University of Paris–Sorbonne. She is author of two hundred titles in ethnolinguistics, anthropology and folklore.
