Grodno Land in the Correspondence of Zygmunt Gloger. Comments on the 1st Issue of Zygmunt Gloger’s "Miscellaneous Writings”

Abstract

The aim of the article is to show Grodno land in the correspondence of Zygmunt Gloger from the years 1863–1876 included in the first volume of Zygmunt Gloger’s Miscellaneous Writings, which was published thanks to the “Glogerianum” Scientific Department of Książni­ca Podlaska named after Łukasz Górnicki in Białystok together with the Chair of Philological Research “East – West” of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Białystok. On the basis of the material, the author presents Grodno land in the times of Gloger, pays attention to inac­curacies included in the notes to the edition, specifies or denies the provided information on the basis of the source literature and author’s own research.
