Perspectives of international trade growth

Abstract


This paper investigates the perspectives of international trade growth. The main findings are: 1) over the coming half century, world trade is expected to outpace GDP growth; 2) the geographical center of trade will continue to shift towards emerging economies; 3) with certain exceptions, export structure does not change importantly.
