Zoltán Kövecses is Professor Emeritus at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. His research interests include conceptual metaphor theory, the language and conceptualization of emotions, the cognition-culture interface, and metaphorical idioms. Most recently, he is working on the potential prehistoric origins of metaphor.
