Annales UMCS sectio N Educatio Nova publishes research papers presenting findings that can be implemented at different educational levels.The journal brings together various strains of research in the humanities, mainly literature and linguistics as well as culture and religion, and in the social sciences, including pedagogy, psychology, social communication and media. The annual volumes of our journal cover multidisciplinary approaches to education. Each volume offers Polish and international scholars a forum for sharing ideas and facilitating professional cooperation. Contributions from scholars who begin their career in Academia are also encouraged.

We invite Authors to submit their proposals to Vol. 11 of “Educatio Nova” which explores the following theme:

 

TRADITION AND INNOVATION IN LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, MEDIA, CULTURE, AND EDUCATION

The topics covered include the presentation of:

  • Language of and communication in the Internet – changes, benefits, drawbacks.
  • New media genres – evolution of forms and functions (e.g., reportage blog, post, talk-show, hybrid interview).
  • New research methods and instruments in studies on language, literature, and media.
  • Strategies of referring to tradition in contemporary culture and education.
  • Selected semantico-lexical processes in the contemporary Polish language e.g., increasing collocability (inteligentna lodówka), shifting lexical meaning (ciężki problem).     
  • Role of Polish education in facilitating students’ interaction with tradition.
  • Contemporary youth towards tradition from a theoretical and empirical perspective.
  • Role of new media and technologies in shaping students’ attitudes towards tradition.    
  • Place and role of tradition in education.
  • Tradition-inspired work of students and teachers.
  • Referring to tradition in the latest children's and young adult literature.
  • Genre-play with tradition in language, literature, media, culture, and education.
  • Text-play with tradition in language, literature, media, culture, and education.
  • Why does innovative education draw from tradition?
  • Artificial intelligence from the teacher’s perspective – a useful tool or a source of concern?

The texts which do not develop the main theme of Vol. 11, but are within the scope of the journal can be submitted to the Varia section. The submission deadline is September 15, 2025.
