Teenage girls’ anorexia in the light of research – the road to success or the act of slow self-destruction

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the issues by all means present in contemporary world, namely the phenomenon of anorexia. Each year this desease kills dozens of young women, who want to look perfect in accordance with the generally accepted trends promoted by the media. The drama leans on the fact that these unattainable standards exist only on paper and in the imagination of producers and directors who skillfully manipulate juvenile recipients (in this case female recipients). The research conducted by the author will allow one to learn the opinions on this subject of respondents representing both middle and high schools.
