The origins of preschool fears

Abstract

The preliminary condition is hypersensitivity. However, not all children with heightened sensitivity become anxious. The anxiety also comes from preserving in their emotional memory great concerns about everything that seems dangerous or endangers their life. Preschoolers’ deep anxiety might be caused by situations such as separation from the mother or parents, drastic changes in their everyday life, starting kindergarten and many more. The main factors that cause great anxiety may be failing family relationships, detrimental effects of social life, influence of the environment as well as individual features of a child. Preschoolers’ fears often fluctuate and are fairly reversible with the use of proper psychological and pedagogical methods, and might subside significantly if parents and teachers follow the recommendations.
